Le Champion offers charities the option of entering charity teams in the Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS 8K as part of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon Charity Project. Charity teams consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 people and, like company teams that do a Business Run, they get a privileged starting position.
The aim is to actively involve a range of charities in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. The primary charity of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is VUmc Cancer Center Amsterdam. Charities can register teams of up to 10 people as part of the Charity Project. To enjoy additional promotional benefits, charities must register a minimum of 5 teams.
Only charities designated as a Public Benefit Organisation (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling (ANBI)) by the Dutch tax authorities can participate in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon Charity Project. Companies that want to raise money for charity cannot enter teams as part of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon Charity Project. This option is only available to charities. However, companies are free to register with a participating charity and can participate in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon on behalf of that charity.
Registration opens on 7 November 2017.
When you register, you receive a confirmation email with an access code. You can use this code to invite participants to join the team. Invoices can be downloaded from participant accounts.

Benefits for 5 teams or more
Charities that enter at least 5 teams enjoy the following benefits:
- Information displayed on tcsamsterdammarathon.nl where participants are encouraged to run for charity
- Promotion in newsletters
- Promotion in information for runners participating the TCS Amsterdam Marathon
- Charity Zone area for runners. Charities are required to make their own catering arrangements for staff, volunteers and runners. Please note that there is no power supply in the Charity Zone.
Charities can of course enter fewer than 5 teams. In that case, the registration fee remains the same, but the benefits listed above do not apply.
