TCS Marathon

The TCS Amsterdam Marathon will take place on Sunday October 20st, 2019. The entry fee is € 77.50 (including Official Mizuno Raceshirt)

Course

The start and finish take place in the historical Olympic Stadium. And every year this leaves an unforgettable impression, not least because of the presence of the supporters in the tribunes and the marathon arcourskaart TCS Amsterdam Marathon - 42 kmgrandstand. 

The Marathon course follows a part of the Olympic route along the Amstel River, past stately homes and a few windmills. This route offers beautiful rural scenery (which includes the Arena) and gives an impression of the huge amount of daily business that takes place on the Amstel.

 

 

Start & Finish

The TCS Marathon start at 09.30 hrs.

Participants will finish at the Olympic Stadium, just in front of the VIP seats. At the finish you will receive a medal and a heat sheet in the Olympic Stadium. Outside the Olympic Stadium you will receive a bottle of ISOSTAR, fruit.

Starting areas

The starting areas are inside the Olympic Stadium. After entrance through the marathon gate you will be directed to your starting area. Each starting area corresponds with an expected finish time. The colored bib number corresponds to your permitted starting area.

The marathon gate opens at 8.15 hrs. You must be on the field by 9.15 hrs at the latest. After this time the entrance to the stadium will be closed. There are various toilets in the starting area.

No clothing can be left in the stadium. Any clothing left in the stadium will be removed the moment the race starts.

Limits and clocks TCS Marathon

Time limit

You can finish your TCS Amsterdam Marathon in the Olympic Stadium till 17.oo hrs. This km-points should be reached at:

  • 5 km 10.37 hrs
  • 10 km 11.19 hrs
  • 15 km 12.01 hrs
  • 20 km 12.44 hrs
  • 25 km 13.14 hrs
  • 42,195 km 17.00 hrs

Runners who are reached by the sweeper vehicle, based on the passing-time table, and will therefore certainly exceed the time limit will be called upon by a member of the jury to leave the race and, for reasons of safety, get into the broom truck. Should you decide to continue the race, despite the request of the jury member, you do so at your own risk. Remember, the course will be opened to traffic again once the broom truck has passed. The water points and medical care points will also be removed, and it will no longer be possible to end in the Olympic Stadium. If you are removed from the race, you will not be eligible for a medal.

Time indication and kilometre points
There are digital clocks at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon’s start and at kilometre points 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 21,1, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 41 km. MyLaps will register the marathon’s running times every 5 kilometre. Additional boards will be placed at every kilometre point.

Care

There will be a sponge and water station along the route, handing out water and sportsdrink (Isostar) as well as fruit to the marathon runners. Toilet and first-aid facilities will also be available.
