Mizuno Half Marathon
The Mizuno Half Marathon is the biggest Half Marathon of the Netherlands and is part of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, the entry fee is € 32.00.
The Mizuno half marathon consists of one loop, most of which passes through the attractive centre of Amsterdam. The course starts at the Stadionweg and goes through Churchilllaan, Rijnstraat and the Utrechtse Bridge over the Amstel river. You then run through Watergraafsmeer and Zeeburg. The rest of the course is same as that of the full marathon.
The course leads the participants through Amsterdam’s city centre and passes many highlights, which would also be worth a separate sightseeing tour. Some of the most attractive sights are the:
Start and finish
The Mizuno Half Marathon starts at 13.30 hours untill 14.00 hours at Stadionweg.
Participants will finish at the Olympic Stadium, in front of the grandstand (free entrance). At the finish you will receive a medal and heat sheet (if necessary). Water is also available here. Outside the Olympic Stadium you will receive a bottle of Isostar and fruit. After crossing the finish line, please try to keep moving.
All participants who cross the finish line receive a medal. To make yours even more special, you can personalise it with your name and finish time. You will find the stand at the bridge between the Olympic Stadium and Sporthallen Zuid. If you ordered an engraved medal when you registered, there will be a medal symbol on your bib number. On the day it will cost the € 10.00.

Mizuno half marathon participants should take their place in one of the starting area. These areas are situated in Stadionweg. The areas are accessible via the Stadionplein. Each starting area corresponds with an expected finishing time. If you have not declared an estimated finishing time, you will be automatically placed in the last starting area. The color of your bib number corresponds to the color of your starting area. Pay attention! The first start time (13.20 hrs) is confirmed, the following starting areas are target start times.

Limits and clocks Mizuno Half Marathon
The time limit for the Mizuno Half Marathon is 3 hours. You can finish your Mizuno Half Mrathon in the Olympic Stadium till 17.oo hours. This km-points should be reached at:
• 5 km 14.40 hours
• 10 km 15.20 hours
• 15 km 16.04 hours
• 21,1 km 17.00 hours
Runners who are reached by the sweeper vehicle, based on the passing-time table, and will therefore certainly exceed the time limit will be called upon by a member of the jury to leave the race and, for reasons of safety, get into the sweeper vehicle. Should you decide to continue the race, despite the request of the jury member, you do so at your own risk. Remember, the course will be opened to traffic again once the sweeper vehicle has passed. The water points and medical care points will also be removed, and it will no longer be possible to end in the Olympic Stadium. If you are removed from the race, you will not be eligible for a medal.
Time indication and kilometre points
For the Mizuno Half Marathon there are digital clocks at the 5, 10, 15 and 20 km-points. Every 5 km your time will be registered. Additional signs will be placed at every km-point.
There will be a sponge and water station along the route, handing out water and sportsdrink (Isostar) as well as fruit to the marathon runners. Toilet and first-aid facilities will also be available.
