All distances sold out, record number of entries for full marathon
The three main distances of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon have completely sold oud. On Sunday October 20th 45,000 runners appear at the start of the marathon, Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS 8K. In particular, the traditional distance is with 17,000 entries more popular than ever. The increase in the number of foreign participants is also striking. For years the TCS Amsterdam Marathon has been the most international sporting event in the Netherlands.
With 131 nationalities at the start this year, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon features runners from all over the world. The course is one of the fastest in the world and leads runners past the city’s most famous landmarks. The marathon starts and finishes in the iconic Olympic Stadium built in 1928 and passes through the heart of the world-famous Rijksmuseum, along the banks of the Amstel and through the Vondelpark and Zuidas business district.
Complete marathon weekend
In addition to the road running events on the Sunday, the marathon weekend includes a three-day Marathon Expo (from Friday to Sunday) and a Good Morning City Run through the heart of Amsterdam. Still places for children
At this point it is still possible to register for the Kids Run. The closing date for entries is Monday 30 September.
