Corona update 15 May 2020

In regards to the cancellation of the Dam tot Damloop the TCS Amsterdam Marathon has frequently been in the news the past days. The 45th edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is still planned for Sunday the 18th of October 2020. Of course we understand that, because of the Coronavirus, it is not realistic that a running event with 45.000 runners will take place in its regular form.

At the moment we are in consultation with our partners and all organizations involved to investigate the possibilities for adjustments. The main principles within the various scenarios are the international competition with eliterunners, the Dutch Championship Marathon and the recreational marathon and half marathon. When making our choises, our main priority is the health and safety of our participants, spectators and volunteers. We will let you know as soon as possible once we have looked at the various options more closely.
