VUmc Cancer Center Amsterdam charity of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon

Amsterdam, May 22^nd 2012; Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions firm, today announced its support to the VUmc Cancer Center Amsterdam (VUmc CCA), a national and international leading center for cancer research and treatment. As part of this agreement VUmc CCA was declared the official cause of the TCS Amsterdam marathon, the Netherlands premier sporting event that comprises over 35,000 runners every year. TCS is serving as title partner to this event for the period 2011-2015.

VUmc CCA is considered a leader in its field and is committed tackling the challenge that Cancer poses in the Netherlands. The purpose is to cure as many patients as possible, to give them the most effective treatment, and to reduce cancer to a treatable chronic disease. TCS supports VUmc CCA by investing in their excellent cancer research and care.

Tata: over 80 years of cancer research
